Michael Varga serves as Client Relationship and Operations Team Manager for EQ Wealth Management. In his client relationship role, Mike takes pride in serving as our client’s initial point of contact ensuring client needs are met conscientiously. He enjoys getting to know clients and they appreciate his thoughtfulness and care. As a Marine veteran, Mike’s background and process orientated way of thinking are reflected in the precision and accountability of EQ operations and back-office responsibilities. Among his responsibilities, Mike performs daily audits and manages the flow of contributions and distributions from accounts.
When I Am Not at Work
Mike moved to the Pacific Northwest from Chicago in 2010. Mike and his wife Angi live in Issaquah with their youngest son, Trent. Mike’s oldest son, Mitchell, works as a Finance Manager for an auto dealership group in the Chicago area. The Vargas are active outdoors; they enjoy skiing in the mountains and biking and hiking in the Pacific Northwest. Additionally, they are actively involved in sports, especially baseball, and enjoy attending sporting events in Seattle. Michael is a longtime season ticket holder of the Chicago Bears and travels back to Chicago annually to attend games. In addition, Mike is a landscape photography enthusiast whose work is featured on the homepage of the EQ website.
Previous Roles or Ventures
After serving in the Marines for six years, Mike transitioned to the logistics industry in 2002 and then to the banking industry in 2007. His experiences in banking ranged from serving as a Branch Manager to a Private Client Banker, where he proactively managed client relationships, assisted in internal audits, and adopted a client-centric approach. In 2017, Mike began working with Stephen Emanuels and Michael Quigley at a previous firm before leaving in 2018 to join the founders as the three original members of EQ Wealth Management.
